Assistant Facility Security Officer
Semper Valens Solutions, Inc (SVS)
An Assistant Facility Security Officer position has opened for SVS. This is a new position that falls under the corporate office umbrella but is specifically for the security department.
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) is a supportive role for daily security operations and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) compliance. The AFSO provides direct support to the Semper Valens Solutions (SVS) FSO and Director of Security. Assistance includes execution of security measures necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the (NISPOM). The AFSO will provide support in security matters in the absence of the FSO.
Assistant Facility Security Officer Responsibilities:
Ø Function as the SVS Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) Company Administrator.
Ø Perform as the Point of Contact for required security training; in-processing and annual requirements. Ensure training is completed and recorded.
Ø Conduct security clearance verifications utilizing JPAS.
Ø In the absence of SVS FSO function as the alternate contact person for all internal and external inquiries.
Ø Support project leads and employees with VARS as needed.
Ø Assist the FSO with compliance reporting and tracking, as needed.
Ø Other administrative duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for Assistant Facility Security Officer:
Ø Security Clearance Eligibility Required: Interim Secret Eligibility.
Ø FSO Certification for Non-Possessing Facility or FSO Program Management Certification.
Ø Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) Capability
Ø Familiarization with NISPOM.
Ø Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ø Proven ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Ø Demonstrate a professional demeanor.
Ø Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Ø Preferred Skills and Experience: Current certification – Army Centralized Contracts and Security (ACCS), Industrial Security Facility Database (ISFD), Electronic-Facility Security Clearance.
Ø DoD experience with a Military background.
Ø Direct relatable experience.
Ø Experience and background knowledge of security clearance measures as it relates to travel, hiring personnel and management staff clearances.
