Jonathan C. Moyer is the Vice President of East Coast Business Development and Operations for Semper Valens Solutions Inc., (SVS). Jon has over two decades of leadership and technical program management experience within the commercial and defense sectors. Jon graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1995. In 1998, he received his Masters of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, HI and later his Masters in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA in 2015. Jon is also a graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College in 2017.
After coming off active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in 1995, Jon enjoyed a career in a myriad of industries as a Management Consultant for Arthur Andersen, a Technical Risk Assurance Auditor for the French Investment Bank, Societe Generale, an energy options and futures trader for the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), and recently as a Director for Mission Solutions, Stanford Research Institute (SRI) where he oversaw Cyber and Electronic Warfare programs under the PEO IEW&S and Communications and Electronic Command (CECOM) portfolio out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Jon continues to serve as a Colonel in the Army Reserve and commands a Theater Information Operations Group (TIOG) in Fort Totten, NY under the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (USACAPOC). Other military career highlights include a deployment n Qayyarah Airfield, Iraq in support Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as the Battalion S3 for the 395th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, New Haven, CT whose mission included the direct support of the Iraqi Parliamentary elections and the combat logistics and sustainment of all of northern Iraq. Battalion Commander of the 1101st Mobilization Support Battalion, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 3rd BDE, 75th Atlantic Training Division, and most recently as the assignment was as the G39 Cyber and Electronic Warfare Officer for the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve Liaison Officer to U.S. Cyber Command.
Other military career highlights include Commissioned in 1995 as a 2LT in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from the Rutgers Army ROTC program. After completing the Signal Corps Basic Course in 1996, he held several positions with the 30th Signal Battalion, Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks, HI to include Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 390th Signal Company and Assistant S-3 and Officer in Charge of the Network Operations Center for the 30th Signal Battalion, 516th Signal Brigade. He transitioned to the Army Reserve and joined the 1079th Garrison Support Unit, Fort Dix, NJ in September 2001, where he was called to active duty to serve as Mobilization Company Commander and Battalion S-1 for the Mobilization Readiness Battalion. After coming off active duty he served as the Deputy Director of Information Management and the HHC Company Commander for the 1079th GSU, Fort Dix, NJ. He then served as the Battalion Executive Officer for the 77th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Dix, NJ, in 2009.
COL Moyer’s military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters) Army Commendation Medal (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with Mobilization Device), National Service Medal (with Bronze Star device), Iraqi Campaign Medal (with 1 campaign Star Device), Global War on Terror Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (with 2 device), Meritorious Unit Citation and the Army Superior Unit Award. He is also the recipient of the United States Army Signal Corps Bronze Order of Mercury.
