Semper Valens Solutions is seeking a Technical Recruiter for the company's corporate office. This position requires a professional and adaptive individual that will represent the company well and provide high functioning service.


This is an exempt position, responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and screening applicants for a variety of technical positions, including software engineers, system administrators, computer programmers, and database administrators. This is a direct role in managing and dealing with candidates to ensure that company standards are met without direct supervision within the operations of the daily business of the company.

  • Source, interview, and select applicants for technical positions.
  • Communicate with civic, social, and other groups to provide information concerning job possibilities.
  • Travel to job fairs to recruit candidates.
  • List job postings on job boards, social media, corporate career websites, and other possible channels in coordination with the Director of HR.
  • Meet with hiring managers to determine job duties.
  • Write job postings.
  • Match applicants to job openings.
  • Source for future job openings.
  • View applications.
  • Call applicants and perform phone screens
  • Schedule candidates for interviews with hiring managers.
  • Instruct applicants on the nature of the job and whom they will be speaking with during the interview.
  • Arrange for travel and lodging for a candidate; when and if applicable.
  • Facilitate meeting between hiring manager and applicant.
  • Interview applicants to vet knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Create dashboards of possible candidates for the hiring manager.
  • Check clearances with the Security Department.
  • Inform candidate of company's decision to move forward with hiring or not to move forward.  
  • Keep track of all applications and resumes; provide important notations such as technical training, certifications, clearance information and other project applicable information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Talk with civic, social, and other groups to provide information concerning job possibilities.
  • Travel to job fairs to recruit candidates.
  • Participate in implementing new recruiting technology, such as applicant tracking systems and screening tools.
  • Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned.




  • An Associate degree and 2 years of recruiting experience or, high school diploma or G.E.D and 4 years of recruiting experience.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to cope with the rapid pace and constant change associated with the industry.
  • Ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
  • Must be willing and able to work independently, as well as in teams and committees.
  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor.


Preferred Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with one or more years of technical recruiting experience.
  • A Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) certification or a Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC).
  • Experience with recruiting in the Department of Defense (DoD) industry.
