Ft. Gordon, Georgia

Semper Valens Solutions is actively seeking a Field Service Analyst for Ft. Gordon, Georgia. This position is for the Worldwide Systems (WWS) program with slots open on Ft. Hood, across the USA and OCONUS. WWS works with the DCGS-A software and provides IT support that includes hardware, storage, server management, systems admin, DBA, software engineer and cyber security.

 DCGS-A Field Service Analyst will perform duties as a Field Service Analyst (FSA) for initializing, placing into operation, and troubleshooting the hardware and software interfaces of this system. This position will support the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) Software Engineering Center (SEC) Field Support Directorate (FSD) to perform resident engineering and technical support to the Warfighter. In addition, this position will align with the local Army Field Support Battalions to provide support for exercises, combat operations, and contingency operations.

Analysts working on the program are required to perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions.  They must have knowledge of operating systems and database management systems.  The FSA will perform analysis of system operations and

v  Must have some experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices. 

v  Must be available for assignment to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for extended terms.

v  Military experience is highly desirable.  Completion of a U.S. Military Service Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) or Senior NCO Academy Course and/or Officer Basic or Advanced Course is desirable.

Field Service Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø  Deploy, configure, and document complex VMware environments including but not limited to engineering designs and recommendations, deployment plans, system configurations, assembly guides and operational smart books.

Ø  Install, configure, and maintain the vCenter server instance and it’s applicable database server/services.    

Ø  Install and configure OGS systems for EMARSS and GRCS systems.

 

Field Service Analyst Requirements:

 

Ø  Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years related experience or HS and 9 years.

Ø  Any other DCGS-A systems administration experience.

Ø  Experience utilizing remote access capabilities such as putty, cygwin, etc.

Ø  Experience utilizing vClient application to access enterprise assets.

Ø  Experience creating and managing virtual machines

Ø  Experience performing IAVA, OS, and application patching/updates

Ø  Experience working in a fast past multi-faceted environment preferred.

Ø  Experience with VMware benchmark tools and capacity management applications preferred.

Ø  Strong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and principals including TCP/IP and DNS.

Ø  Experience integrating with Symantec Netbackup solutions desired.

Ø  Experience operating in a DoD Intelligence environment or other national level agency preferred.

Ø  Current Secret Level clearance.
